Hello, all 35 of you people who previously joined (!??!!)
I'm reading "Red Tails in Love," and since it was published so long ago, I thought I'd try to find out whether there's a Web equivalent of the Central Park bird register the author frequently refers to. Thought perhaps this was it . . . but now that I'm here, I'm guessing not.
I spent a lot of hours this spring watching Bobby and Violet and Pip on the NYU ledge. I'd been fascinated by the Pale Male story years ago.
I have to say, this forum seems like a very odd place with very beautiful photos. And way skewed to "green" stuff, which frankly is boring.
Maybe I'll be back, maybe not. But certainly this could be a lot more interesting than it is. Where are the other 34 of you?? (Mr. No. 1, the administrator, I assume is Mr. Green.)
The stats say there are 13 "lurkers" as I write this. Please people! Join -- and don't get discouraged that it takes a day or two to get your membership access validated. Surely there's a lot more to be said about Birds of Central Park than is being said right now.
