Seaside Sparrow in Central Park
A Seaside Sparrow was discovered in the north end of Central Park near the Blockhouse on Thursday, April 28, by Tom Pearlman. Malcom Morris and Jim Demes helped ID the bird.
As the name implies, a Seaside Sparrow is more comfortable in salt marshes near water than in the north part of Central Park.
This may be a first ever sighting of this bird in the park.
